KENANSVILLE -- Jimmy Oliver Summerlin, 72, died Wednesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville. He was the son of the late McCoy and Nannie G. Summerlin of Mount Olive.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ernesteen Jones Summerlin; his sons, Clayton Summerlin and wife, Carol, of Clemson, S.C., Micheal Summerlin of Raleigh; a daughter, LuAnne Swinson and husband, Todd, of Kenansville; grandchildren, Matthew, Levai, Tyler and Morgan Summerlin, Alexis Swinson; brothers and sister, David, Henry and Eva Nan Summerlin, all of Mount Olive; sister-in-law, Gaynelle Summerlin of Jacksonville; and an aunt, Pauline Grady of Mount Olive.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Summerlin of Jacksonville and a sister, Mary Lou Hudson of Mount Olive.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Community Funeral Home of Beulaville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in the Community Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.
