WILLIAM 'BILL' SCHAAP

William "Bill" Charles Schaap, 73, died Friday at his residence.
Born in Melbourne, Fla., he was the son of the late Ysbrand & Rebecca Bayless Schaap. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served for 21 years.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Seymour Johnson AFB Chapel. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Schaap is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Schaap; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Ronald Peters of Princeton, N.C., Linda and Glenn Sergeant of Alamogordo, N.M.; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harry Scott of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Bekah Peters, Andrew Peters, David Sergeant, Ben Sergeant and Leah Sergeant.
