DORIS W. SKINNER

DOVER -- Mrs. Doris Wiggins Skinner, 75, of 3535 Dover-Fort Barnwell Road, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at her home. Doris was born in Lenoir County to the late Walker Vinson Wiggins and Gay Moye Wiggins. Following high school, she worked with Martin General Hospital, Parrott Hospital and seven years with Dr. J.C. Peele in Kinston. Doris later worked many years as a beautician and was well known for her willingess to help others.
Funeral will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at 4 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Interment will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Westview Cemetery.
Doris had a great love for her family and is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Skinner; and three sisters, Linda Wiggins Smith and Judy Stafford Anderson, both of LaGrange, and Kathy Hill of Grifton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Hart; and four brothers, Ken Wiggins, Jim Wiggins, Gene Wiggins and Gus Wiggins.
