EUNICE E. BROADHURST
RUTHERFORDTON -- Eunice Edwards Broadhurst, 90, of 158 Crestview St., formerly of Mount Olive, N.C., died Thursday at Autumn Care Nursing Home. She was a native of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Lou Pearl Casey Edwards, a retired fifth grade school teacher for Wayne County Public Schools and a graduate of East Carolina University where she earned a masters degree.
Left to cherish her memory; her husband of 67 years, Malcolm McInnis Broadhurst of the home; daughter, Mary Burgin and her husband, Fred Jr., of Rutherfordton; daughter, Elizabeth Johnston of Concord, N.C.; three grandsons, Robert Burgin, Ben Burgin and Jay Johnston.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Crowe's Funeral Home in Rutherfordton. A graveside service will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Steven Wicks and Dr. Don Scoffield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
