Elder Gray R. Coley Sr., 67, of 153 Airline Place, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at the L. N. Forbes Original Freewill Baptist Tabernacle in Wilson with pastor M. K. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dew Coley of the home; two daughters, Shirl Coley of Woodbridge, Va., and Regina Coley of Largo, Md.; one son, Gary Coley of Charleston, S.C.; seven sisters, Martha A. Pettway of Brooklyn, N.Y., Della L. Mathis, Josephine Best and Tanyua Peacock, all of Goldsboro, Mary E. Wilson of Louisburg, N.C., Celestene Green of New Carollton, Md., and Doris J. Coley of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, Fletcher L. Coley of Alexandria, Va., William R. Coley of Greensboro, N.C., and James I. Coley of Goldsboro; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Tuesday at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. Elder Coley will lie in state for viewing 10-11:50 a.m. Wednesday at the L. N. Forbes Original Freewill Baptist Tabernacle in Wilson.
