CLEO T. EVANS

Cleo Thompson Evans, 77, of 488 Sambo Lambert Road in the Grantham Community, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha Jackson Thompson, mother of the late Teresa Cleo Evans and sister to the late Jimmy Thompson, Christine Creech and Leona Capps. She was formerly employed with Borden Manufacturing.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery with Mr. Horace Modlin officiating.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Gene Autry Evans; one daughter, Kathy Holloman of the Grantham Community; two sisters, Elizabeth Gregory of Newton Grove, Daisy Williford of the Grantham Community; one brother, Willie Thompson of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Jenny Radford, Dewayne Radford, Ashley Holloman; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan Radford and Michael Radford.
The family will receive friends at the home.
