LAGRANGE -- Josephine Smith Graves, 62, of 5817 Kennedy Home Road, LaGrange, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Richlands, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Marie Gregory. She attended White Oak Free Will Baptist Church in LaGrange and was a former em-ployee of Tex-tilease.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Shu-mate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro, with pastor Greg Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Kinston.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Graves; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ken-neth Ray and Susan Smith, Robert "Shorty" and Teresa Smith, and Mark Allen and Debbie Smith, all of Golds-boro; two brothers, William Gregory of Warsaw and Bobby Gregory of Dudley; three sisters, Helen Grady and Ann Rivenbark, both of Goldsboro, and Linda Corbett of Fremont; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Mickey Joyner of Kinston; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Mary Graves of Maury; and eight grandchildren, Chris-topher Smith, Corey Smith, Timothy Ryan Smith, Dustin Allen Smith, William Bland, Diana Marie Smith, Dillon Smith and Christopher Bland.

The family will greet friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
