Jennie Susan Green, 66, died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Sue was born on Nov. 2, 1940, in Wayne County to the late Pete Cooke and Minnie Best Cooke. She was married to the late Bill Green. Sue was a retired registered nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital. She attended Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Sue had been a member of the Goldsboro Rescue Squad and the North Carolina Rescue Squad Ladies Association.
A service to celebrate Sue's life will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Williams. Interment will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Sue is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dana G. and Richard Sasser of Kenly; her grandchildren, C.J. Radford and Brooke Radford; her sisters, Evelyn Ingram of Goldsboro and Faye Price of Goldsboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church for the Widow and Widowers Fund or the Youth Department, c/o Gerald Brown, 187 Vance Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends Sunday following the service at the church and other times at her home, 2990 Hwy. 111 N., Goldsboro.
