MOUNT OLIVE -- Elder Dr. Henry "Hence" Everett Parker was born in Beaufort, N.C., on March 10, 1934, to the late Guy Dill and Annie Geneva Nelson Parker. He departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 9:02 in the evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Sat-urday, Oct. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Goldsboro Ra-leigh Assem-bly Church of Christ on 214 W. Hooks River Road, Golds-boro, N.C. with the Elder H.E. McNair officiating. A burial will follow at the Congrega-tion Church Cemetery in Dudley, N.C.

He leaves loving memories to his wife of 40 years, Margaret B. Parker of the home; two sisters, Annie Vivian Bellamy of Jacksonville, Fla. and Laura Bryant of Morehead City, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Retired Col. Charlie Brewington of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Parker of Goldsboro, N.C., and Sarah Artis of Mount Olive, N.C.; 11 nephews, including one to whom he was very close, Perry Parker of Beaufort, N.C.; six nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 2-7 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home and all other times family will be receiving friends at their home at 246 Flowers Road, Mount Olive, N.C.
