GLADYS S. DAVIS

Gladys Strickland Davis, 80, formerly of Princeton, died Friday evening at the Brian Center in Clayton. She was born in Johnston County March 21, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Hunter and Lula Moore Strickland. She was the widow of Emmitt Davis.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday morning at the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Britt officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Bobby Snipes of Calabash; two brothers, Lloyd Strickland of Raleigh and Rudolph Strickland of Lexington; and two grandchildren.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church.
The family is being served by Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
