WILSON -- Willard L. Davis Jr., 79, 4423 U.S. Highway 117, died Tuesday.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at 3 p.m. in the Fremont Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Langley and the Rev. Gary Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy B. Davis of the home; one daughter, Lee Anne Davis of the home; one son, Michael Davis of Black Creek; two sisters, Hazel Van Roekel of Goldsboro and Nannie Mae Moore and husband, Bill, of Raleigh; one brother, Roland Van Davis and wife, Jean, of Kenly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at Shingleton Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the residence.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Wilmed Hospice, especially to Annette Kirby and Laura Harris.
Arrangements are being handled by Shingleton Funeral Home of Wilson.
