INEZ J. ARTHUR

PRINCETON -- Inez Johnson Arthur, 90, died Sunday afternoon in the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born in Johnston County to the late John L. and Mary Lambert Johnson she was the widow of Acy J. Arthur who died Oct. 10, 1988. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie L. Arthur. Mrs. Arthur taught the fifth grade at Princeton School for 26 1/2 years retiring in 1979 and was a member of the Princeton Chapter No. 364 Order of the Eastern Star and the Princeton United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Allen Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Princeton Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter, Rosa Arthur Aycock and husband, Ray, of Princeton; sons, John Arthur and wife, Gail, of Littleton and James Arthur and wife, Lois, of Princeton; sister, Bernice Jones of Burlington; and seven grandchildren.
