JACQUELINE P. MOORE

Jacqueline Palmer Moore, 80, died Monday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Jacqueline was born in Halifax County to the late C. Macon Moore Sr. and Josephine Riggan Moore. She was a registered nurse for the public health department in Halifax Country and later served in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years, where she earned the rank of Captain before retiring. After serving in the Air Force, Jacqueline retired as a nurse from Oak Manor Nursing Home in Goldsboro. She is a member of the Littleton Baptist Church in Littleton.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Ceme-tery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Macon Moore Jr.; her half sisters, Ethel Herbert and Beulah Weaver; and her aunt, Fannie Moore. She is survived by her friend, Ann Thompson of Goldsboro; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WOOFF Organization (Welfare Of Our Furry Friends), P.O. Box 10442, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534-0442.
