Eutha Gray Price Young, 79, of 121 Anthony Lane, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Bladen County, she was the daughter of the late Thadious F. and Mable Dove Price, wife of the late Albert Jay Young Sr. and mother of the late Alice Faye Benton. She was a charter member of the Pineview Baptist Church and retired from General Electric after more than 30 years of service.
Funeral will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert Jay and Mary Jo Young Jr. of Goldsboro, John F. and Cathy Young of West Memphis, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Glynda and Thomas Tyndall of Goldsboro; a son-in-law, Linwood Benton of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a special niece and nephew-in-law, Pam and Donnie Moody of Va.
Flowers are welcome and memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
Family members will greet friends Monday evening immediately following the funeral service and at other times at the home of her son, Jackie Young, 116 Braxton Drive, Goldsboro.
