ROBERT L. JOHNSON

Robert Lee Johnson, 82, died peacefully Sunday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Robert was born in Harnett County to the late Claude Eugene Johnson and Susie Jane Johnson. Robert had been a member of Northview Baptist Church; formerly Northview Christian Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Dupont with 31 years of service and was a volunteer with the Gospel Television Station WHFL-TV 43.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Robert is survived by his wife, Nora Lee Hawley Johnson; his sons, Terry Lynn Johnson and wife, Angela, of Goldsboro, Jimmy Lee Johnson of Charlotte and Gary Dale Johnson of Morehead City; his brothers, Gene Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., Ernest Johnson of Durham and Sherwood Johnson of New Hill; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service and other times at his home.
