LINWOOD T. RADFORD

PIKEVILLE -- Linwood Thomas Radford, 64, of 1478 NC Hwy. 581 North, died Wednesday morning at his home surrounded by his family.

Linwood was born in Wayne County to the late Leslie Radford and Pearl Henn Radford. He was a retired contract sales representative for Goldsboro Builders Supply and had served in the Army Reserve.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Radford Family Cemetery in Nahunta.

Linwood is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Gwaltney Radford; his daughter, Jennifer Radford Hart of Goldsboro; his stepchildren, Laurie Adams Strickland and husband, William, of Wilson, Wendy Adams Pinkham and husband, Jim, of Charlotte, Freddie Adams Jr. and wife, Norlette, of Goldsboro and Frankie Adams Dawson and husband, Brian, of Goldsboro; his step-grandchildren, William Strickland, Harriet Strickland, Freddie Adams III, Hannah Dawson and Lawson Adams; his sisters, Marie Radford Taylor and husband, Billy, of Kinston and Evelyn Radford Lamm and husband, Gene, of Florida; and his brother, Ed Radford and wife, Gail, of Goldsboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Radford, Raymond Radford and Mack Radford; and his sister, Thelma Radford McKeel.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
