Died Sept. 3, 2007

Amy M. McCormick, 52, of 103 Shamrock Road, went to be with the Lord Monday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by her husband of 31 years, Rick McCormick; her daughter, Nicole McCormick of Goldsboro; her daughter, Erica McCormick of Mount Olive; her son and daughter-in-law, 1st Lt. and Mrs. Ryan McCormick of Raeford and her daughter, Rachel McCormick of Goldsboro. She is also survived by many in her family, close friends and the lives of children she has touched.

She was born and raised in North Java, N.Y., by her late father, William Campbell and her mother, Bernadine Campbell.

Amy has been a very active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, where she was past president of the Ladies Guild, an active participant of Right to Life, Youth Group and Octoberfest. She also donated a lot of her time to Rosewood community activities. For more than 25 years, she taught and cared for numerous children in her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church from 5 to 9 p.m.

The family will be walking in "Angels Among Us" for Brain Tumor Research in April of 2008. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate memorials to this cause in her memory. Please make checks payable to the Memorial Fund, 103 Shamrock Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
