ODIE H. CHASE

Odie Head Chase, 95, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, Aug. 30, with her family at her side. A native of Greene County, she was born March 7, 1912, the daughter of the late Lem and Ada Caudell Head. A homemaker, Mrs. Chase moved to Goldsboro following the death of her late husband, D.B. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill with the Rev. Robert Goff and the Rev. Lennie Reagan officiating. Committal services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Snow Hill Cemetery.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Chase was also preceded in death by a son, Earl Chase.

Her surviving family includes her daughter, Sandra Chase Butts and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Tracy Martin and husband, Jim, of Keller, Texas; grandsons, David Butts and wife, Brandie, of Goldsboro and Tony Chase of Baton Rouge, La.; great-grandchildren, Chase Martin, Braylee Butts, Britteny Butts and Dacen Butts; sisters, Onnie Lee Bass of Snow Hill and Belle Rhodes of Goldsboro; and a brother, Jimmy Head of Eureka.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Saturday and other times at the home of Jimmy and Sandra Butts, 419 Old Grantham Road, Golds-boro, N.C.
