DOROTHY P. SANDFORD

ROCKINGHAM -- Dorothy Price Sandford, 84, died Monday. She was born in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Alice Price and Daniel Darius Price.
Mrs. Sandford was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of the Raleigh School of Commerce and retired with 40 years as the office manager with the N.C. Forestry Service.
A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.
Surviving are a son, Gordon Sandford of the home; a sister, Audrey P. Bell of Mount Olive; a brother, Dortch Price of Mount Olive; and a sister-in-law, Mamie Barwick of Seven Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob C. Sandford in 1979.
