JEFFREY L. WATSON
Died Aug. 12, 2007
Jeffrey Lee Watson, 41, of 203 Marianna Drive, died on Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was the owner and operator of Watson Lawn Care Services.
Jeff was a loving husband and a wonderful father to his children. He loved them with all of his heart. Jeff will be remembered as an avid fisherman and for his passion, softball. He enjoyed and loved his lawn care customers and making their yards beautiful. Jeff was a great friend to everyone he knew, and know you have blessed him in many ways.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Family Cemetery.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Ginger Watson; his daughter, Katie Elizabeth Watson and his son, Jeffrey Alexander "Alex" Watson; his parents, Frankie E. Watson and Peggy Gray Watson of Goldsboro; his paternal grandmother, Eliza-beth Watson of Goldsboro; his maternal grandmother, Gladys Gray of Goldsboro; his brother, Jimmy Watson of LaGrange; his nephew, Jesse Watson; and several special aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his favorite mother-in-law, Arlene Bartlett Best and her husband, Gordon Best of Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Gray; his paternal grandfather, Elton I. Watson; and his father-in-law, Alton R. "AJ" Bartlett Jr.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the North Carolina Chapter of Leukemia Society, 5624 Executive Center Drive S-100, Charlotte, N.C. 28212 or to the Katie and Alex Watson Education Fund, care of Ginger Watson, 203 Marianna Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
