RETIRED MASTER SGT. WARREN A. RUDISILL An American Flag for a US Veteran

Retired Master Sgt. Warren Allen Rudisill, age 69, of Goldsboro died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He was born in Richland, Ind., to the late Henry and Wildon Emma Abshire Rudisill and was married to the late Lillie Strickland Rudisill. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Warren Rudisill Jr. and Henry A. Rudisill.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Mr. Horace Modlin and Mr. Joe Johnson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Cisneros and Renee Rudisill, both of Goldsboro; five brothers, Wildon Rudisill, Chet Rudisill, Wayne Rudisill, Elson Rudisill and Nelson Rudisill, all of Indiana; and one sister, Bonita Sextant of Indiana; four grandchildren, J.R. Potts, Rachel Rudisill, Miranda Potts and Wynter Potts; a special mother-in-law, Rachel Brown of Charlotte, N.C.; and special friend, Mike Carcirieri of Goldsboro.

The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534 or to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
