MARGARET B. GENTRY

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Margaret Burgess Gentry, 75, died Wednesday at Wayne County Rest Villa in Fremont.

A native of Dalton, Ga., she had lived in Tennessee for many years before relocating to Wayne County in 1997. She attended Adamsville Church of God at Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Pastor Wesley Jarman will officiate. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Alphin and husband, Michael, of Seven Springs and Linda Fay Ledford of Alabama; three sons, Gene Gentry of Minnesota, Billy Gentry and Roger Gentry, both of Tennessee; two brothers, Paul Burgess and Arvell Burgess, both of Dalton, Ga.; five sisters, Shirley Turner, Darlene Rayburn, Brenda Waters, Mary Helen Parris and Rose Matthew, all of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Fannie Burgess; a brother, Willard Burgess; and three sisters, Loretta Crowe, Geraldine Burgess and Ruby Burgess.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Friday night and at other times at the Alphin residence, 247-B Adams Road, Seven Springs.
