HOPE MILLS -- Jerome Cromartie, brother of Edward Cromartie and wife, Hilda Pollock Cromartie, of Mount Olive, died Monday in Philadelphia, Pa. His other survivors include his wife, Vera; son, Juan; daughter, Cheryl; mother, Mable; and sister, Pauline.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Nathaniel Cromartie.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from Willis Creek A.M.E. Zion Church in Fayetteville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 1875 Smith Road, Fayetteville.
Matthews Funeral Service of Wallace is assisting the family.
