Maerene Hayes Hinnant, 76, of 201 Greg Drive, went to be with her Lord on Sunday. Mrs. Hinnant was the widow of Ronnie Hinnant and John Henry Parker and was a retired CNA with Wayne County Services on Aging. She attended The Lord's Table.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bill Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Friends Cemetery.

Surviving are daughters, Peggy Strickland of Wilson, Pauline Perry of Goldsboro, Joyce Cote of Florida, Jean Davis of Ayden, Velma Graham of Arizona, and Rhonda Hinnant of Goldsboro; sons, John Parker and Ronald Parker of Nashville and Willis Parker of Rocky Mount; sisters, Virginia Lancaster of Goldsboro and Gaynelle Davis of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and Booger, her pet fish.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Sanderson.

Flowers are welcome or donations to the family for funeral expenses would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Brian and Miranda Ellis, 100 Nottingham Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
