PIKEVILLE -- Glen Sutton Sr., age 95, of 1544 Airport Road, died Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, N.C. He was born in Wayne County to the late Henry and Rancie Best Sutton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at noon from the White Oak Grove F.W.B. Church, 2261 Big Daddy's Road, Pikeville, N.C, with the Elder George Wiggins presiding. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C. A viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C. A wake will be held with the family present to receive other family members and friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C.
Survivors include two sons, Glen Sutton Jr. and wife, Regina, and Leon Sutton; one grandson; stepchildren; Lois Coley and husband, Irvin, Johnnie Brown and wife, Doretha, Shirley Bass, Barbara Miller and husband, Larry, and Eleanor Brown.
At other times, the family will receive family members and friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Brown, 215 N. Virginia St., Goldsboro, N.C.
