MILDRED L. TAYLOR

Sept. 8, 1914-July 7, 2007

Mildred Lynch Taylor, 92, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Saturday at the Brian Center in Lincolnton, N.C. She was born in Greene County to the late Emmett and Tiny Aswell Lynch, one of their five daughters. She was married to the late Parham Taylor for 73 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Clyde Crawford and Frances Greene Sunday School Classes for many years. After moving to Maryville, Tenn. in 1994, she became a member of the First Baptist Church in Maryville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Floyd C. Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, W. Pat and Brenda Taylor of Asheboro, N.C., Bobby R. Taylor of Hickory, N.C., Kenneth P. Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Family members will greet friends Monday from 10 until 10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church.

The family requests the in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be directed to the First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
