FAISON -- Esther Curtiss Cates, 100, 207 E. Main St., died Sunday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Laura Curtiss and the widow of Addis P. Cates.
Two children survive.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Faison Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Mark Scott officiating. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Graham.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home of Clinton and following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faison Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 160, Faison, N.C. 28341.
