MITCHELL D. BADDOUR

Oct. 6, 1923-June 27, 2007

Mitchell David Baddour, 83, passed away Wednesday surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Goldsboro to Shikrey and Victoria Baddour. He graduated from Golds-boro High School, Bel-mont Abbey, and Presbyterian College. Mr. Baddour retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Company in Wilson. He was a World War II veteran, and a life-long member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He was a Fourth Degree member of The Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Golden "K" Kiwanis.

Mr. Baddour is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Baddour, three sons, Michael Baddour and wife, Peggy, of Hubert; Paul Baddour and wife, Cindy, of Fuquay-Varina; Tony Baddour and wife, Saharon, of Wilmington; one daughter, Mary Ann "Pixie" Kannan of Nashville; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 1000 Jefferson St., Goldsboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the Church with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
