WINIFRED 'WINNIE' STRICKLAND

WILSON -- Winifred "Winnie" Strickland, 64, died Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tues-day in Ever-green Memorial Park, with the Rev. Johnny Sullivan and the Rev. Walt Tyndall officiating.
Mrs. Strickland was a devoted wife, mother and Granny. She was a longtime member of Daniel's Chapel F.W.B. Church.
Surviving are her husband, Elton Strickland; one daughter, Darlene Langley and husband, David, of Wilson; two sons, Larry Strickland and wife, Lorienda, of Pikeville, and Gary Strickland and wife, Amanda, of Wilson; three granddaughters, Ariel and Savannah Strickland, both of Pikeville, and Rachel Langley of Wilson; one grandson, Brandon Langley of Wilson; and two sisters, Billie Ferrell of Morehead City and Betsy Williamson of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends Monday evening following the service at the funeral home, and at other times will be at 613 Poe St., Wilson.
