Homegoing services for Benjamin Edwards Jr. will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Stony Hill Holy Church on Poplar Street in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Dr. Howard McNair officiating. A viewing will be 2-7 Monday at McIntyre Funeral Home.
He departed this life June 21 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Benjamin Edwards Jr., affectionately known as "June" and "Uncle June" was the son of the late Benjamin and Lillian Edwards. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elder Edmond E. and Nora Edwards Sr. and Dottie L. and Nellie Edwards, both of Goldsboro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris E. and Wayman Smith of Greensboro and Geraldine and Steve Pounds of Washington, D.C.; Forbes, Willington and Leak aunts and cousins, Swinson uncles aunts and cousins; several nieces and nephews; his Poplar Street apartment neighbors and friends; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of Elder Edmond Edwards, 802 Robinson Place, Goldsboro.
