EDDIE "WAYNE" GRANT
March 8, 1937 - June 9, 2007
Eddie "Wayne" Grant, joined his Heavenly Father on June 9, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Howell's Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, with the Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Dawson officiating. Interment will be in the Old Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Grant is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Reid Grant, and daughter, LaVora L. Grant of the home, 560 W. Hill St. Other survivors include a granddaughter, LaShonda Grant; two sisters, Bertha Grant-Grant of Goldsboro and Dorsey Rhodes of Youngstown, Ohio; three brothers, Harold Grant of Washington, D.C ., Ivory Grant of Temple Hills, Md., and Lenwood Grant of Goldsboro, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Matthew and Mollie Wooten Grant, and two brothers, Willie A. "Dumb" Best and Lee Mack Grant Sr.
The viewing hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Howell's Funeral Home and Crematory.
The family will receive friends at the home of Bertha and Harris Grant, 153 Orbit Road in the Best Grove Community.
