MARVIN "RAY" BOYETTE

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Marvin "Ray" Boyette, 70, passed away Tuesday. Ray was born in Goldsboro, N.C. to the late Alma H. and John M. Boyette. He served in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne division. He later attended Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, N.C. Ray spent his entire career in the tire and automotive business. He retired as area sales manager with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and later worked as policy and warranty administrator with Hall Ford. Ray was a totally devoted husband, father and grandfather. His love and commitment to God, family, friends and the outdoors were obvious to all who knew him.
Ray is survived by his wife of 41 years, Faydene J. Boyette; two children, Walter Ray Boyette and his wife, Rosana, of Yorktown, Sharon Boyette Day and husband, Bill, of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Laura Kay and Lucas Ray Boyette, Caitlyn Alexis and Colin Thomas Day; and one brother, Robert Gene Boyette and his wife, Mary, of Goldsboro, N.C., and their children, Chris and Angie Boyette.
