MAXINE C. WISE

Maxine C. Wise, 71, of 2462 Dobbersville Road, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Herner T. and Sophia Crawford Stanton. A member of Eureka Christian Church, Mrs. Wise was the church choir director. She was retired from Southern Bank and Trust as the branch manager in Grantham. She was also active with the Flying Needles.

Funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Eureka Christian Church with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wise is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and David Gore of Wilson, Jo and Jim Musick of Dudley; four grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Courtney and Andy King of Goldsboro, Matthew Gore of Mount Olive, Amber Musick of Raleigh, Jamie Musick of Dudley; a sister, Anne Kelly of Maiden, N.C.; a special friend, Ronald Stevens of Grantham; and her special Golden Girls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Eureka Christian Church, 2036 Dobbersville, Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73123-1718.

Family members will greet friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
