EUNICE G. WIGGINS

May 25, 1911-May 31, 2007

Eunice Gibson Wiggins, age 96, died Thursday morning at Sunbridge Care of Mount Olive. Born in Red Springs, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Clay and Martha Marks Gibson and wife of the late Charles Shepard Wiggins. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. A member of the First Baptist Church, she was active with the Children's Ministry and the Senior Adults. Mrs. Wiggins was a retired L.P.N. from Wayne Memorial Hospital and a graduate of the Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Raleigh. She was also active in the Extension Homemakers.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the McNeil Cemetery in Red Springs with the Rev. Scott Thrailkill officiating.

Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dr. Bill Gibson and wife, Joyce, of Riverside, Pa., Tommy Gibson and wife, Judy, of Goldsboro, Martha Bryan and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro, Col. Charlie McGugan of Aberdeen, Louise Gagich of Dunn, Mary Lois Hodge and husband, John, of Charlotte and Charlie Anna Eury and husband, Bill, of Salisbury and numerous great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Family members will greet friends immediately following the funeral service at First Baptist Church and at other times will be at the home of her neice, Martha and Jimmy Bryan, 1808 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the First Baptist Church Children's Ministry or to the FBC Concert Series, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
