DONALD PAUL CALLAHAN

Donald Paul Callahan, 75, died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Callahan was born in Columbus County to the late Preston Albert Callahan and Estelle Etta Santee Callahan. He retired and was an electronic technician with the United States Air Force with more than 22 years of service. Mr. Callahan was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Dann Patrick and Steve Holder officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.

Mr. Callahan is survived by his wife, Ava McKee Callahan; his daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Rudy Reese of Goldsboro and Thea and the Rev. Enrique Navrro of Atlanta, Ga.; his son, Dennis Callahan of Fayetteville; his sister, Pauline Marlowe of Whiteville; his half-brother, Johnny Callahan of Leland; eight grandchildren, Paul Reese, Steven Reese, Michelle Alombra, Jodie Riley, Jessica Willing, James Willing, Matthew Callahan and Daniel Callahan; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Ray Callahan and Jackie Glenn Callahan; a half-brother, Steven Callahan; a son-in-law, Donald Willing; and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Butler Callahan.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 or to Faith Christian Academy, 1200 W. Grantham St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence, 1803 Stephens St., Goldsboro.
