FAISON -- Earnest Holmes, 88, died Monday at University of North Carolina Hospital, Chapel Hill. He was the son of the late Jim and Mary Holmes.
One son survives.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hill's Chapel Baptist Church, Faison with the Rev. Tony Harrington officiating. Burial will follow at Carver Cemetery in Mount Olive. Viewing will be 4-7 p.m. today at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
