KNIGHTDALE -- Ida Ruth Evans, 69, 1103 Pine Forest Trail, formerly of 511 Bunche Drive, died Tuesday in Knightdale. She was predeceased by her parents, Levi Evans Sr. and Mary Spencer Tolliver, and grandmother, Flora Spencer.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted son, James "Rick" Carnell Benton Jr. and wife, Mercidee; grandchildren, James Carnell Benton III and Takia Richardson; sisters, Doree Barnes and Patricia Tolliver; brothers, Jerome Evans and wife, Beverly, William Smith Jr., and Clifford Tolliver; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; many devoted friends, special among them, Bessie Woods, Karen Brown, Shirley Matthews, Charlene Smith, and Sara McMillan.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle D.L. McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. Viewing will be 2-6 p.m. Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
