KEITH LYNAL DILLARD

May 13, 1958-May 10, 2007

Keith Lynal Dillard, 48, formerly of Goldsboro, departed this life in the peace of God at his home, 137 Dunbar St., Dublin, Va. Mr. Dillard was born at Johnson Air Force Base near Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1976 and from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology. After graduation, he became employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and later became employeed with New River Energetics (Radford Army Ammunition Plant) in 1987.

Keith was the son of the late retired Master Sgt. Hampton "Pete" A. Dillard Sr., USAF, and Ruby Askins Dillard, both of Goldsboro. He is also preceeded in death by his nephew, Alexander Dillard III. He is survived by one sister, Lettye Clark of Goldsboro; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hampton A. and Eleanor Dillard Jr. of Durham, Michael and Jeanene Dillard of Wichita, Kan., and Gregory Dillard of Goldsboro; a special friend, Cathy Carter of Radford and her children, Shayla and Perry Carter; two special aunts, Patricia Dillard of Christiansburg Va. and Shirley Dillard Harris and husband, Joe, of Littleton, Colo.; maternal aunts and uncles, Olivia Finn, Elsie and Richard Cox, Fred and Anne Haskins, George and Ruth Haskins, all of Richmond Va., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church in Christiansburg, Va. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Radford.
