EDMUND J. CROCKER

June 22, 1916 - May 6, 2007

Edmund J. Crocker, 90, of Goldsboro died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Crocker was born in Blakely, Ga. He was married to the late Ruby Crocker. Mr. Crocker was a retired postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and had served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Crocker was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garvin Martin officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and a private family inurnment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Wadsworth of Goldsboro; his sister, Caroline Chapman of Lake Worth, Fla.; his brother, Gerald Crocker of Lake Worth, Fla.; and his grandsons, Zachary Franklin and Robert Wadsworth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 300 S. Madison Ave., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534 or the Girl Scouts Council of Coastal Carolina, Inc., 108 E. Lockhaven Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
