Bob Thornton, 69, died Friday.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at West and Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Newton Grove, with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating.
Mr. Thornton was the husband of Dorothy Thornton of Dudley, who survives.
He was also the father of a son, Lamont Thornton of Durham.
Other survivors, in addition to his wife and son, include a brother, Mallard Thornton of Durham; a sister, Sue McLamb of Newton Grove; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
