HERBERT HILL

LaGRANGE -- Herbert Hill, 81, of 5424 Bryan Hardy Road, died Friday at home.
Mr. Hill was the son of the late Jesse and Ethel Bordeaux Hill. He was retired from civil service and was a longtime farmer.
Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. from the Mewborn Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Alice Foyles Hill; son, George Herbert Hill and wife, Luvoise, of LaGrange; grandson, George Herbert Hill Jr. of LaGrange; four sisters, Doris Canton of Wilmington, Josephine White of Kinston, Louvenia Tucker of Deep Run and Betty Hyman of Kinston; brother, Larry Hill of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Cora Hill of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Stepps; and a brother, Ervin Hill.
