DWIGHT 'IKE' HAWKINS

Nov. 11,1952 - April 18, 2007

DUDLEY -- Dwight David "Ike" Hawkins, 54, 463 Potts Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Haw-kins was born in Suffolk, Va., to Benjamin Luther Hawkins of Suffolk, Va., and the late Mary Elizabeth Little Hawkins. He was a retired fireman for the City of Suffolk, Virginia, and had worked as a driver for NAPA. Mr. Hawkins was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and was a certified fire instructor.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Hallman officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Margie Ann Hawkins; daughter, Meredith Rhea Hawkins of Suffolk, Va.; brother, Dennis Wayne Hawkins of Suffolk, Va.; sister, Tammy Jean Adams of the Virgin Islands; aunt, Shirley Little Fowler of Suffolk, Va.; stepdaughters, Sabrina Lynn Bullock of Kittrell and Tabatha Rachel Hallman of Louisiana; grandchildren, Anderson James Hallman and Selena Lynn Bullock; and a special friend, Lynn Stroud of LaGrange.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.
