TOMMIE E. MCDONALD

Jan. 27, 1924-April 17, 2007

Tommie E. McDonald, 83, 116 Wildwood Drive, died Tuesday at her home. Born in Shreveport, La., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillie Carson Dew and wife of the late Thomas McDonald. She was formerly employed with Brookshire Grocery Company as a bookkeeper. A member of Providence United Methodist Church, she was a member of Providence Friends United and the Wesley Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jerry A. Jackson officiating. Private committal services will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen C. Richards of Goldsboro; sons, Ronald E. McDonald of Biloxi, Miss., Dr. William Scott McDonald of Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Dannie L. Richards Jr., Thomas H. Richards, Brian T. Richards, Edward A. Rich-ards, Kathryn E. Richards, Ronald E. McDonald Jr., Helen C. McDonald; 14 great-grandchildren, Bradley T. Richards, Krystina L. Rich-ards, Joshua T. Richards, Dustin B. Richards, Matthew Cody Richards, Zoe A. Richards, Jacob A. Richards, Sabrina F. Richards, Natashia McDonald, Harrison R. Morris, Gulia McDonald, Sarah M. Richards, Maglen E. Morris, Joe Richards; and one great-great-granddaughter, Tommi G. Richards.

Family members will greet friends Thursday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service and at other times will be at the home, 116 Wildwood Drive, Goldsboro.
