Linda Best Spruill, 59, of 904 National Drive, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. Wilson Highway, Goldsboro, with the Rev. Dr. William Barber II officiating.
Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Spruill was a native of Wayne County and was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Best. She was a member of Greenleaf Christian Church, a 1966 graduate of Dillard High School, and got her bachelor's degree from Fayetteville State University in 1972. She was employed by Wayne County Public Schools at Goldsboro High School.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Monday at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St.
The family will be present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
Ms. Spruill is survived by her husband, Ralph Spruill, of the home; mother, Thelma Best of Goldsboro, son, Terrance Best of Greenville; stepson Corey Parker of Raleigh; daughter, Tara Best of Alexandria, Va.; stepdaughter, Rhonda Yarbor-ough of Alexandria, Va.; brother, Jerome Eugene Best of Goldsboro; and seven grandchildren.
