GARFIELD M. FINIGAN

NORFOLK, Va. -- Garfield Myles Finigan, 77, died at his home in Norfolk. He was a former native of Sussex County, N.J. and long-time employee of the Sussex County Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and eight children, Jeffery Finigan of North Carolina, Steve Finigan of Florida, Elizabeth Codding of Virginia, Gail Sheedy of New Jersey, Carol Bardall of Virginia, Gary Finigan of Virginia, Ron McMickle of New Jersey and Mike McMickle of Virginia; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He and his wife were foster parents to more than 300 foster children as well.
Graveside services were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery followed by a ceremony at East Ocean View Baptist Church. A reception followed.
