Frances Canady Small, 83, died Sunday at Carolina Health and Rehab in Columbia, S.C.
Mrs. Small was born in Rockingham County to the late Henson Turner and Berta Mae Oakley Canady. She was married to the late Loyd Edward Small. Mrs. Small was a graduate of High Point College and had worked with the Family Y of Golds-boro. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Black Memorial Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Drew Clark and the Rev. Ryan Rasmussen officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan S. Bell and husband, William J. Bell Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Jane S. Harrell and husband, Richard R. Harrell of Longwood, Fla., and Jean S. Anhalt of Cape Coral, Fla.; grandchildren, Bob and Ann Bell of Columbia, S.C., and Will, Matthew, and Andrew Harrell of Longwood, Fla.; brother, Henson Canady and wife, Minnie Sue, of Greensboro; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in the narthex of Black Memorial Chapel at First Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
