JIMMY HERRING

James "Jimmy" Edward Herring, 63, 800 Patetown Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Fu-neral Home and Crematory, Goldsboro, with the Rev. David Hollowell officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Herring was born in Wayne County to Harold Matthew and Mabel Sauls Herring of Goldsboro and was self-employed as a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sonya Herring; daughter, Kathy Herring Merritt of Goldsboro; brothers, Kenneth and Harold Glenn Herring, both of Goldsboro; sisters, Anne H. Stocks and Lisa Herring, both of Goldsboro; and grandchildren, Travis and Brandon Merritt.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 2315-A Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, N.C. 27804.
Family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of his parents, 802 Patetown Road, Goldsboro.
