SHERWOOD YOUNG

Sherwood Young, 73, 573 Loop Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born in Johnston County to the late Tee and Martha Moore Young and was married to Hazel Taylor Young. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Young.
Funeral services and entombment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Elwin Ford officiating.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Elwood Gene and Becky Young of Mount Olive; brother, Roosevelt Young of Four Oaks; sisters, Gertrude Beasley of Benson and Christine Daniels of Goldsboro; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends immediately following the funeral service Friday and at other times at the home.
