SUITLAND, Md. -- Bobbie Edward Davis, 62, 42 Suitland Road, died Friday at home.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel, 900 S. George St., with Apostle D.L. McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was a native of Wayne County. He was preceded in death by his parents, King D. Davis and Ella Budd Davis.
He was employed by Prince George's County government and retired from the District of Columbia Public School System after 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Davis of the home; four sons, Bobby Jr., Robert, Thomas and Bobbie Jr.; five sisters, Janice Howell, Sandra Gayle Melvin and Rachel Davis of Goldsboro, Wanda Chambers of West Hartford, Conn., and Majorie Crawford of Washington, D.C.; and six grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Janice Howell, 309 Nelson Drive in Goldsboro.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntyre Funeral Ministries.
