LEWIS J. GURLEY

Lewis Jefferson Gurley, 84, 1008 N. George St., died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery.
Mr. Gurley was born to the late Lewis Ed and Effie Pate Gurley. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and member of Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Gurley; stepson, Wilton Bailey of Nahunta; stepdaughters, Adelle Carter of Mount Olive and Linda Spruill of Hertford; brother, Raymond Ed Gurley of Newport News, Va.; sister, Renna Bell Pike of Pikeville; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Franklin Gurley and one stepson, Donnie Bailey.
Family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, and other times at the residence.
